Meet your driver and begin the journey from Dushanbe towards the Pamir Mountains. The route passes through scenic mountain landscapes, traditional villages, and deep river valleys.
After crossing the Shurobod Pass, enjoy your first views of the Panj River, which forms the natural border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Continue along the river to Kalai-Khumb, a small town surrounded by dramatic mountains.

Today’s drive follows one of the most beautiful sections of the Pamir Highway. The road hugs the Panj River with continuous views of Afghan villages and mountain landscapes across the border.

Arrive in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

Visit Bulunkul Lake, famous for its crystal-clear waters and incredible mountain surroundings. Nearby Bulunkul Village is known as one of the coldest inhabited places in Central Asia.

Continue to Alichur, a traditional Kyrgyz settlement located on the Pamir Plateau.

Today’s route crosses some of the highest and most spectacular landscapes of the Pamir Highway.
Drive through wide-open valleys inhabited by nomadic herders and large herds of yaks.
Cross the famous Ak-Baital Pass (4,655 m), the highest point of the Pamir Highway.
Continue to Karakul Lake, a breathtaking alpine lake created by a meteorite impact millions of years ago.
